Colon Schwannoma:A Case Report

摘要: Schwannoma is a common soft tissue tumor, arises form Schwann cell, which cover the peripheral nerves. Gastrointestinal schwannomas are rare and colon extremely rare. We report case of ascending schwannoma with initial presentation chronic diarrhea. This 65 year-old men had water diarrhea for six months. Colonoscopy exam ination showed submucosal tumor ulceration it protruded into colon. The biopsy pathology necrotizing inflammation. Another two colonoscopic also failed to prove nature tumor. Finally, he received right hemicolectomy completely resected. pathological diagnosis this was benign gastrointestinal schwannoma.
