摘要: A nutraceutical product composed of a combination Garcinia cambogia, L-carnitine and seaweed extract Ascophyllum nodosum has been recently developed. The aim the present study was to characterize its effects on subjective satiety sensations food preferences in healthy volunteers. In crossover design, 28 subjects (21 females 7 males, aged 31 ± 5, BMI 22.6 1.7) were randomly assigned receive active treatment (LIS) or placebo (PL) over one week. At end each period, instructed consume ad libitum test meal. Food appetite evaluated by means Leeds Preferences Questionnaire visual analog scales, before after meal, three hours. There no differences energy intake between groups. LIS associated with reduction hunger (p = 0.018) an increase 0.02) fullness 0.01) ratings. preference for high fat foods reduced consuming meal both significant effect explicit liking implicit wanting, as evidenced sweet (relative savory foods; p 0.03 0.004, respectively), but observed regarding low (NS). These results provide proof principle satiating properties containing suggest that it might be useful modulator.
