摘要: We examined the long-term effect of hydroxycitrate (HCA) on food intake, meal patterns, body weight regain and energy conversion ratio as well different blood liver variables in rats after substantial loss. Rats were fed a 1% (g/100 g) fat diet (81% carbohydrate, 10% protein, fat) or 12% (76% 9% two separate experiments. Supplementing both diets with 3% HCA 10 d restrictive feeding reduced over whole subsequent period ad libitum consumption (22 d) decreased [body (g)/energy intake (MJ)] at end experiment. Only diet, had suppression intake. The anorectic occurred predominately during light phase, was due mainly to reduction numbers meals. In no plasma beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), but triacylglycerol increased concentration. did not affect any metabolic variable examined. Thus, suppressive regain, which maintained for least 3 wk, appears be independent dietary content. Yet, content seemed important feeding. fact that change BHB concentration does support role hepatic fatty acid oxidation HCA.
