摘要: A state of the art review nonsilica based infrared fibers is presented. Two types fiber materials have been investigated--crystals and glasses. Crystal work appears to be focused on development short haul CO/sub 2/ laser power delivering lines at 10.6 µm. The maximum CW has reached up about 100 W by polycrystalline KRS-5 fiber. number glass are being developed in fluorides, sulfides heavy metal oxides. best optical attenuation each respectively reduced 21 dB/km 2.55 µm for ZrF/sub 4/-based with a core-clad structure, 78 2.4 As-S unclad fiber, 13 2.05 (70 2.40 µm) GeO/sub 2/-Sb/sub 2/O/sub 3/ structure.
