摘要: An accurate, rapid and cost-effective diagnosis is the cornerstone of efficient clinical epidemiological management infections. Here we discuss relevance an emerging technology, multiplexed immunoassays read by flow cytometry, for infectious diseases. In these assays, multiple fluorescent microspheres, conjugated to different antigens or antibodies, constitute solid phase detecting antibodies in biological samples. These assays seem be more sensitive than traditional immunoassays, have a high throughput capacity, provide wide analytical dynamic range. Additionally, they multiplexing ability-ie, are capable measuring simultaneously. We four areas where this technology could make impact resource-poor settings: (i) infections causing rash fever children; (ii) sero-epidemiological studies on vaccine-preventable diseases; (iii) genital ulcers vaginal discharge; (iv) screening blood banking. predict widespread use new breed small, affordable, practical cytometers as field instruments replacing ELISA RIA tests, which will also doing cellular immunological tests such CD4+ T-cell enumeration Plasmodium falciparum detection whole blood.
