摘要: The blood pressure response to exercise is exaggerated in hypertension. Recent evidence suggests that an overactive skeletal muscle mechanoreflex contributes significantly this augmented circulatory responsiveness. Sensory information from the processed within nucleus tractus solitarii (NTS) of medulla oblongata. Normally, endogenously produced nitric oxide (NO) NTS attenuates increase mean arterial (MAP) induced by stimulation. Thus, it has been suggested decreases NTS-NO production underlie generation dysfunction Supporting postulate, shown blocking NO normotensive rats reproduces pressor elicited activation hypertensive animals. What not known whether increasing mitigates overactivity. In study, was selectively activated passively stretching hindlimb before and after dialysis 1 10 μM L-arginine (a precursor) decerebrate Wistar Kyoto (WKY) spontaneously (SHR) rats. Stretch larger elevations MAP SHR compared WKY. both groups, attenuated stretch. However, at dose, had no effect on stretch WKY while enhanced SHR. data demonstrate availability using lower doses partially normalizes hypertension whereas higher do not. findings could prove valuable development treatment options for overactivity disease.
