摘要: A quantum critical endpoint related to a metamagnetic transition causes distinct signatures in the thermodynamic quantities of compound. We argue that, irrespective microscopic details considered material, diverging differential susceptibility combined with Ising symmetry give rise number characteristic phenomena. In presence magnetoelastic coupling, one finds correspondence susceptibility, magnetostriction, and compressibility and, as result, pronounced crystal softening, Gr\"uneisen parameter, sign change thermal expansion $\ensuremath{\alpha}(H)$, minimum specific-heat coefficient $\ensuremath{\gamma}(H)$. illustrate these their relation on crossover at 8 T prototypical heavy-fermion system ${\text{CeRu}}_{2}{\text{Si}}_{2}$.
