摘要: The effects of benzocaine anesthesia on hematological parameters (erythrocyte and platelet number, hemoglobin concentration hematocrit), plasma electrolytes (Na+, K+ Cl−), cortisol, glucose cholesterol levels in Brazilian codling (Urophycis brasilensis) exposed to a bath solution were investigated. Cortisol 1 h after capture from the wild days 7 14 during acclimatization period (20 days) also determined. During second week, cortisol reached basal values (9 ng ml−1). use causes significant increase erythrocyte sodium decrease chloride. Plasma higher fish anesthetic, decreased significantly comparing with control group, showing strong fluctuations between individuals all cases. These results show that an acute stress response could be reverted quickly it has considered evaluation fish.
