摘要: This paper is a brief review of successional stages and activity benthic soft-bottom communities. Benthic communities was first described by Petersen in the 1910s further developed Molander, Thorson Margalef. Successional chance predictable way relation to environmental disturbance food availability. Food supply bottom can occur as vertical flux, but transport through lateral advection more important some areas. While at bottom, infauna processes many different ways, feeding modes be categorised into than 20 functional groups, fewer are present brackish water. categorisation based on animal mobility where how they ingest food. Animal sediment, bioturbation, has significant effect redox conditions diagenetic processes. Structures sediment due infaunal presence observed situ profile imaging, biogenic structures parameterised have been shown correlate community stages. The largest threat faunal biodiversity spread near-bottom oxygen deficiency enclosed stratified coastal
