摘要: OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the immune response in Peruvian children following measles vaccination. METHODS: Fifty-five received Schwarz vaccine (about 10³ plaque forming units) at about 9 months of age. Blood samples were taken before vaccination, then twice after vaccination: one sample between 1 and 4 weeks vaccination final 3 post for evaluation cell phenotype lymphoproliferative responses to non-measles antigens. Measles-specific antibodies measured by reduction neutralization. FINDINGS: The humoral developed rapidly vaccination; only 55 (7%) had neutralization titres <200 mIU/ml However, 8 out 35 tested (23%) antigens 3-4 Children with poor readily detectable other Flow cytometric analysis peripheral blood mononuclear cells revealed diffuse system activation time most children. capacity mount a was associated expression CD45RO on CD4+ T-cells. CONCLUSION: excellent antibody but 23% (8 35) generated (compared 55- 67% industrialized world). This difference may contribute less than uniform success programmes developing world.
