摘要: Perinatal taurine imbalance alters hormonal, neural, renal, and cardiovascular functions in adult animals. This study tested the effect of perinatal depletion supplementation on blood cells, plasma electrolytes, lipid profiles male rats. Female Sprague–Dawley rats were fed normal rat chow with 3 % beta alanine (taurine depletion, TD), supplementation, TS) or tap water alone (control, C) from conception to weaning. Male offspring throughout study. At 13–16 weeks age, body, heart, kidney weights not significantly different TD TS compared C groups. Compared control TD, group displayed higher red cell count, hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit. decreased platelet counts significantly, but only increased mean volume group. Although total white lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils altered by manipulations, neutrophils lower controls (but group). Non-fasting sugar, sodium, calcium among three groups, both showed potassium levels. controls, did affect profiles; however, low density lipoprotein levels These data indicate that alterations (particularly supplementation) hematological parameters, electrolyte balance, profiles, potentially contributing disorders
