摘要: Bacteriophages of the Podoviridae family often exhibit so-called depolymerases as structural components virion. These enzymes appear tail spike proteins (TSPs). After specific binding to capsular polysaccharides (CPS), exopolysaccharides (EPS) or lipopolysaccharide (LPS) host bacteria, polysaccharide-repeating units are specifically cleaved. Finally, phage reaches last barrier, cell wall, injects its DNA, and infects cell. Recently, similar from bacteriophages Ackermannviridae, Myoviridae, Siphoviridae families were also described. In this mini-review diversity function encoded CPS-, EPS-, LPS-degrading is summarized. The described in terms substrate specificity applications biotechnology.
