摘要: Yerba mate tea is a very common beverage in some countries of South America. We conducted case-control study on an individual basis using hospital records to investigate the association between Parkinson's disease (PD) and yerba intake. A case was defined as age ≥ 40 years with 1 year PD. Each individually matched by two controls. Exposure measured consumption, coffee, tea, alcohol intake smoking status. The sample consisted 223 PD patients (mean 68 mean duration 7.3 years) 406 There inverse "bombilla" consumption (OR 0.64, 95% CI: 0.54-0.76, p=0.00001). multivariate analysis logistic regression adjusted sex, provided following results: 0.63, 0.53-0.76), 0.60, 0.42-0.86), coffee 0.51, 0.35-0.73). found These results led us hypothesize that may have potential protective role development
