摘要: This review summarizes recent advances in our understanding of the cognitive changes seen patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Emphasis is placed on identifying and diagnosing subtypes ALS a continuum frontotemporal impairment. The reviewed literature focuses progress made past 20 years, an emphasis studies measuring abnormalities without dementia. We describe peer-reviewed journal articles using neuropsychological batteries imaging techniques. also discuss debates raised meetings. In 2 decades, field has been transformed terms its extramotor cerebral changes. Particularly 10 investigators have invalidated theory that abnormality simply rarely occurring, frank lobar degeneration syndrome. Instead, growing body evidence suggests comorbid lie spectrum abnormality, large proportion possessing range behavioral As more investigations use standardized tools behavior cognition, distinct may be diagnosed.
