Anisotropic Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya Interaction in ultra-thin epitaxial Au/Co/W(110)

摘要: We have used Brillouin Light Scattering spectroscopy to independently determine the in-plane Magneto-Crystalline Anisotropy and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya Interaction (DMI) in out-of-plane magnetized Au/Co/W(110). found that DMI strength is 2.5 larger along bcc[001] than bcc[-110] direction. use analytical considerations illustrate relationship between crystal symmetry of stack anisotropy microscopic DMI. This shows systems with two-fold are promising for realizing isolated elliptical skyrmions or anti-skyrmions.
