摘要: Objectives New salicylic acid (SA)-loaded gels were developed using excipients made from renewable materials, and our goal was to improve drug permeation in the topical treatment of acne vulgaris. Methods We studied preparation parameters obtain suitable gel formulations. Only naturally occurring polymers used as gelling agents. Two hydrogels three lipogels selected characterized terms loading, pH, viability cells, rheology, mechanical properties vitro permeation; these compared with traditional ointment. We also evaluated skin before after application. Key findings The formulations that we are non-Newtonian fluids; they have high loading properties. Lipogels exhibit a slower more linear profile hydrogels. The different vehicles affected patient compliance. Cytotoxicity studies suggest all non-toxic. Conclusions Lipogels demonstrate appropriate technological features improved performance ointment regard their composition. may represent new bio-based system for SA delivery. use ‘green’ leads ‘skin-friendly’ able satisfy environmental safety.
