摘要: During the ovarian cycle of cockroach, Diploptera punctata, a mitotic wave occurs in corpora allata before an increase gland volume and juvenile hormone (JH) synthesis. Previous studies have demonstrated that brain inhibits mitosis JH synthesis corpus allatum (CA) cells until adult females mated. Herein, we report chilling stress effectively suppresses mating induced proliferation CA cells. In mated females, on melting ice for 0.5-3 hours caused strong, dose-dependent decrease activity. insects chilled 3 hours, although was practically abolished, finally reached peak levels typical unchilled insects, despite 2-day delay. Consequently, oocyte maturation oviposition were also delayed by 2 days, yet both values basal length same. By allowing virgin to mate different days after chilling, found effect could be retained insect body at least days. this period, signals from not remove inhibition cell proliferation. Unilaterally disconnecting revealed mediated via brain, did directly affect CA.
