摘要: Atypical meningioma was added to the group in revised World Health Organization classification, and thus divided into three grades: histologically benign, atypical, anaplastic. Several authors have defined criteria of atypical meningioma, but there are still some practical problems grading meningiomas histologically. We investigated relationship between histological features proliferative ability assessed by immunoreactivity with MIB-1 monoclonal antibody sought apply this meningioma. In 73 specimens obtained from 49 cases, following histopathological were examined: mitotic index, prominent nucleoli, nuclear pleomorphism, small cells high cytoplasmic ratios, hypercellularity, loss architecture, brain invasion, necrosis. Thirty-eight 39 (97%) labeling index greater than 5.0 exhibited indices more 1. Necrosis, observed 92%, 64%, 62%, 56%, 21%, 15% these respectively. Meningiomas higher showed rates presence figures The mean invasion 19.80, correlated well indices. Therefore, figures, necrosis, significant for other features. propose a simplified diagnostic criteria: exhibiting two or diagnosed as addition, may be border value benign types.
