摘要: This paper deals with the correlation between real structure of Cu2Mo6S8 chevrel phase (CuCP) and its electrochemical behavior as a cathode material in novel, promising rechargeable Mg batteries. To obtain fast kinetics insertion into this material, particle size was reduced to sub-micrometer scale by milling. We discovered an unusual instability CuCP upon milling, which leads drastic decrease electrode capacity. The mechanism mechanical investigated XRD XPS. comparison stability that other phases (Ni, Sn, Pb, or Ag instead Cu) reveals is connected unstable oxidation state copper ions material. It shown milling not only unusually deep amorphization but also chemical reaction Cu+ are removed from lattice.
