摘要: There are several critical differences in the pulmonary granulomatous response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis between mouse and other animal models such as guinea pig or rabbit. One key difference is a conspicuous lack of central caseating necrosis lesions immunologically intact mice. To determine whether normal mice could develop pathology highly virulent clinical isolates M. tuberculosis, C57BL/6 were infected aerogenically with varying doses three different strains, development was followed for long year. Whereas conditions failed induce lungs these mice, all infections induced which progressed similarly. We present here descriptive report gross pathological progression In each case, disease five discrete stages, delineated on basis criteria including extent involvement, cell types present, degree lymphocyte organization, presence destructive sequelae airway epithelium erosion debris. Quicker along stages by increasing size inoculum more mycobacterial strains. The strains not resolved, later coincided an bacillary load loss organized lymphocytes ultimately resulted death host. These results indicate that although do manifest form they equally pathogenic appears chronic interstitial fibrosing fails contain infection at time involvement wanes lung.
