摘要: Abstract The daily rhythm of mating in Dacus tryoni was studied. In cages under field conditions is restricted to a period about 30 min at dusk. the laboratory, an instantaneous step-down from daytime light intensity (900 lm/ft2) optimal low (0·8 lm/ft2), applied normal time dusk, as effective stimulus gradual decrease that occurs dusk field. When samples flies were subjected test dusks intervals throughout day there distinct peak percentage coincided with when would normally occur. Similar fluctuations obtained either males or females confined sexually active individuals opposite sex day. Under constant followed circadian which had free-running greater than 24 hr. average value two populations tested and individual within these approximately 28 Constant high completely inhibited darkness strong depressing effect upon it. However, given been kept showed endogenous ‘readiness mate’ (defined dusk) persisted for possibly three cycles before damping out. then remained fairly value.
