摘要: Abstract Glycoproteins were extracted from isolated cell walls of Phytophthora megasperma f.sp. glycinea (formerly P. var. sojae ) with 0·1 n NaOH at 0·C and elicited glyceollin in soybean hypocotyls the same specificity as fungus races which they obtained. Fractionation crude extracts on DEAE Bio-Gel A-5m columns showed that specific elicitor activity was associated presence high molecular weight glycoproteins detected by SDS gel electrophoresis. The appeared to contain only glucose mannose neutral sugars. not diminished boiling 100°C or pronase treatment, but destroyed periodate, thus indicating carbohydrate portions are important for activity. concanavalin A reactive species wall extracts, fluorescein labelled hapten-specifically bound living hyphae native NaOH-extracted walls. Therefore it concluded present surface wall. Tunicamycin, inhibits glycosylation eucaryote glycoproteins, a potent inhibitor mycelial growth fungus. data supported hypothesis race soybean— system may be determined plant recognition glycoproteins.
