摘要: The immune system of the Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua L) is unusual in that it cannot produce a specific antibody response upon immunization. Despite this, not particularly susceptible to infectious disease its normal environment. This review examines potential genetic basis for lack cod. genetics immunoglobulins are compared with those other well-characterized teleost fish. A evidence suggests deficiencies number, structure, organization, diversity and expression both Immunoglobulin (Ig) heavy Ig light chain genes explain response. It concluded deficiency major histocompatibility (MH) class II molecules prime suspect cod, testing this hypothesis must await future experimentation.
