摘要: Abstract Yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) has been widely used as an environmental and thermal barrier coating material. However, above 1200 °C, its thermo-physical properties degrade because of undesirable microstructural phase modifications. On the other hand, rare-earth hexaaluminates, having magnetoplumbite structure, exhibit high-temperature stability it possess excellent at temperatures 1200 °C. This work highlights development lanthanum magnesium hexaaluminate (LaMgAl 11 O 19 ) ETBC material via wet-chemistry route, effects on crystal growth a result N , -dimethylformamide (DMF) organic addition, hot corrosion studies. The as-synthesized doped DMF xerogel powders were calcined 1100 °C–1400 °C, subjected to x-ray diffraction (XRD) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for their structural morphological characterization. average crystallite size LMA decreased up 14% (with addition DMF) tested confirmed by XRD. Whereas, SEM micrographs platelet like microstructure powder. Hot studies 700 °C, 800 °C 900 °C 5 h have revealed degradation mechanism in V 2 5 environment. At AlVO 4 800 °C, LaVO MgAl whereas 900 °C, α-Al 3 & main products.
