摘要: Objective: To assess the clinical performance of NMP22 BladderChek test, which is a qualitative and to compare it with voided urine cytology for detection recurrent bladder cancer. We also evaluated whether cystoscopy can be omitted from surveillance protocol by combining two tests. Methods: A total 131 patients history superficial transitional cell carcinoma provided samples before cystoscopic examination. Urine were assayed presence using test was performed cytopathologist. Selected underwent biopsy, appropriate additional therapy. Results tests compared that results cystoscopy, retained as gold standard. For positive biopsies, correlated tumor stage grade. Results: Of 46 recurrences detected in 39 cases 19 cases. The sensitivity 85%, significantly greater than (41%). In particular, low-risk tumors eight times more sensitive cytology. specificities 77 96%, respectively. Combining increased overall 91%. However, 9% still not detected. Conclusion: an vitro easily available cheap; urologist office interpreted within 30 min. superior all grades stages recurrence Our study indicates used substitute cannot replace but adjunct
