摘要: The elastic scattering of particles from oriented, deformed, odd-mass nuclei is studied, using the collective model nucleus. Numerical results, obtained distorted-wave Born-approximation, are presented for some typical cases, namely neutrons 2, 5, and 14 Mev, protons 5 alphas 43 incident on Mn/sup 56/ Ho/sup 165/ target nuclei. It found that differential cross-section shows large azimuthal asymmetries when oriented perpendicular to beam. experimental observation this effect would be valuable; rotational it could measure sign magnitude deformation, while vibrational yield important information about coupling odd nucleon core.
