摘要: Abstract Background Several modifiable lifestyle indicators, including diet, smoking, alcohol consumption, weight and physical activity have been associated with depression; however, their combined effect has less studied. The aim of this study was to calculate a Healthy Lifestyle Index (HLI) composed the 5 above-mentioned indicators investigate its association incident depressive symptoms. Methods sample consisted 25,837 participants from NutriNet-Sante study, initially free HLI computed by assigning 1 point each indicator namely healthy weight, moderate or high activity, never smoking low consumption. Depressive symptoms were measured using Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D). Hazard Ratios estimated Cox proportional hazards models population attributable risks (PAR) calculated. Results A total 2112 cases identified over mean follow-up years. After accounting wide range potential confounders, 1-point increase in 10% (95% CI 6%; 13%) reduction risk PAR representing proportion that are non-adherence specific 8% 5% non-smoking 14% combination non-smoking. Limitations Some unmeasured factors related both depression such as family history disorder, stressful life events, sleep disorders might led residual confounding. Conclusions Modifying unhealthy lifestyles, especially is target major interest prevention adults.
