摘要: Diets rich in polyphenols are epidemiologically associated with lower risk of developing some age-related diseases humans. This apparent disease-protective effect is often attributed to their powerful antioxidant activities, as established vitro. However, can also exert pro-oxidant activities under certain experimental conditions. Neither nor anti-oxidant have yet been clearly occur vivo humans, they likely given the limited levels that achievable after consumption foods and beverages them. Other actions may be more important vivo. Many studies biological effects cell culture affected by ability oxidise media, awareness this problem avoid erroneous claims.
