摘要: Abstract A powder with core-shell morphology was used to obtain a dense yttrium-aluminium garnet material. Precipitation of Y 2 O 3 precursor in an aluminium oxide slurry, using ammonium carbonate, allowed nanometric particles the yttrium be deposited on submicron Al grains. It found that washing precipitation product changes chemical composition which has significant impact evolution phase powders during heat treatment process and finally their morphology. Pressureless sintering at 1650 °C for 2 h unwashed led single-phased material without open porosity reaching approx. 96% theoretical density while under same conditions compact washed did not completely close pores its higher than 92%. The use isostatic hot-pressing complete elimination materials obtained from occur.
