摘要: A recent study has shown a 77% incidence of tracheal aspiration in children (mean age 13.4 months) who are intubated with uncuffed endotracheal tubes. To determine both the such among premature infants and whether continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) any preventive effect, 20 tracheally neonates were evaluated for presence orally placed Evan's blue dye. The overall was 80%. Eighteen these tested during 4 cm 6 H2O pressure, incidences 72% 50%, respectively, which is not statistically significant difference (P less than .17). Ten 18 patients also studied when 2 applied 60% aspirated. Among all aspirated, compared those did not, there small but decrease transcutaneous PO2 .05) as well an increase respiratory .001) pulse .01) rates. It concluded that frequently aspirate clinically useful levels likely to prevent aspiration.
