摘要: Abstract We demonstrate the importance of stock turnover on industrial energy efficiency through a literature review and case study energy-intensive equipment, i.e. electric arc furnace in US steel industry. describe common methods for assessing turnover. have found that both retrofit are important elements to explain improvement rates. investigated development electricity use furnaces United States by tracking individual over period 1990–2002. This provides detailed picture changes or fleet and/or retrofit. Our results confirm other empirical studies there is no clear lifetime equipment. However, retired distinctly less efficient than remaining stock, while new more average stock. an annual specific consumption 1.3%/year studied period, which 0.7%/year was due 0.5%/year service throughout period.
