Sm doping effect on structural, morphological, luminescence and antibacterial activity of CdO nanoparticles

摘要: Undoped cadmium oxide along with samarium doped CdO are synthesized by simple soft precipitation method. Resulting precursor was calcined at 400 °C for 2 h. As a result of heating, pure material produced. The obtained compound possesses cubic crystalline structure nanoscale. Also, FESEM image showed that the resulting is composed nanoparticles and its size decreases increase Sm doping relative particle calculated from XRD. photoluminescence shows emission violet blue colour peaks peak 468 nm which responsible better antibacterial activity. nanopowders subjected to two different gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus Enterococcus faecalis) negative (Escherichia coli Klebsiella pneumoniae) bacterial strains respectively. It noted there high activity towards bacteria.
