摘要: The Late Weichselian Tinglev outwash plain in southwestern Denmark slopes gently from east to west, but certain areas of the topography show unusual irregularities. Analysis LiDAR data reveals a mosaic smaller with pronounced changes slope magnitude and orientation between neighbouring areas. also features notable elevation across kilometre-long lineaments lying lower higher than expected level. depressions area have previously been interpreted as result melting dead-ice blocks left by ice sheet. However, borehole samples Lake on that lake sedimentation did not start until early Holocene (9000 years ago), which is more 9000 after sheet had retreated. topographical irregularities are located above Tonder Graben structure, we interpret these strike-slip movements along graben faults resulting both subsidence uplift. deformations effect deglaciation tectonics acting within limited time frame at beginning Holocene. As event can be related stress release weight Scandinavian Ice Sheet, expect other fault zones northern Europe would equally prone reactivation. Tectonic events most likely recurrent, appear able induce short-lived tectonic instability normally considered tectonically stable. We conclude this type has significant impact throughout Quaternary.
