摘要: Students from a nursing school of Delhi were surveyed anonymously using self-administered questionnaire to explore various AIDS-related apprehensions and their possible reasons. The observations revealed that, majority the students families/friends feared that these at risk contracting HIV infection while providing routine patient care. A large number also opined they would feel uncomfortable talking, hugging, shaking hands, sharing room with an positive person. main reasons for unsatisfactory anti-AIDS campaigning by government, non-availability sufficient protective measures in health care settings, inadequate professional education related prevention infection, increase transmission following false sense security due excessive condom promotion. Findings study imply imparting factual knowledge addressing concerns removing misconceptions which influence attitudes willingness provide positives/AIDS patients, facts regarding efficacy preventive measures, provision counselling services event exposure.
