Goodwin Creek Experimental Watershed: A Unique Field Laboratory

摘要: Goodwin Creek Experimental Watershed (GCEW) was established in north-central Mississippi as a part of the Streambank Erosion Control Evaluation and Demonstration Project. The watershed is organized instrumented for studying relationships between runoff, sediment yield, fluvial geomorphology, land use, controlling climate variables. Example studies address such subjects baseline-condition monitoring, hydrometeorology, transport, stream restoration stabilization, system analysis. This forum article provides brief overview baseline-data collection, remote hydrometeorological observations, production erosion, hydrologic modeling that has been conducted association with GCEW.
