摘要: Abstract Background. A time trend for characteristics and prognoses of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who underwent surgical resection was investigated. Methods. series 1123 consecutive NSCLC from 1975 to 1998 reviewed respect changes in patient profile outcome among subgroups classified by clinicopathologic factors. Results. With time, the proportion female, elderly (≥70 years), pathologic stage IA, nonsmoking, adenocarcinoma increased significantly whereas pneumonectomy, incomplete resection, IIIA decreased significantly. Overall survival showed an upward 5-year rates 30.0% 1970s, 41.6% 1980s, 50.1% 1990s (P
