摘要: Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance Zhiqiao–Houpu herb-pair (ZQHPHP), composed of Fructus Aurantii (Zhiqiao [ZQ] in Chinese) and Magnolia officinalis (Houpu [HP] Chinese), is a traditional herbal formula that has been extensively used for treating gastrointestinal motor dysfunction. The aim the study was to evaluate effect possible mechanism ZQHPHP on gastric emptying (GE) antral smooth muscle contractility (GASMC). Materials methods This includes four parts: (a) ZQHPHP's GE; (b) (GASMC); (c) comparing effects ZQHPHP, ZQ HP GASMC; (d) antagonists or agonists ZQHPHP-induced GASMC.
