摘要: A multimetric benthic index of biotic integrity (B-IBI) was developed using data from five Chesapeake Bay sampling programs conducted between 1972 and 1991. Attributes the were selected by comparing response 17 candidate measures condition (metrics) a set minimally affected reference sites at all other for which available. This procedure independently each seven habitats defined salinity substrate. Fifteen metrics differed significantly least one habitat. No metric in habitats; however, four metrics, species diversity, abundance, biomass, percent abundance as pollution-indicative taxa, six habitats. The calculated scoring 5, 3, or 1 depending on whether its value site approximated, deviated slightly from, greatly conditions best sites.
