摘要: The effect of insulin administration upon D-xylose-1-C14 penetration into the diaphragm and gastrocnemius muscles functionally nephrectomized normal, hypophysectomized, adrenalectomized rats has been examined. It was found in all groups that after tracer amounts D-xylose, this sugar enters cell water to a greater extent than muscle, both presence absence exogenous insulin. Insulin increases apparent intracellular distribution D-xylose three types rats. After administration, concentration muscle estimated be about two times plasma; accumulation not observed insulin-treated Intracellular occurs at plasma concentrations ranging from 4 2200 µg/ml; however, "saturation" phenomenon appears operative, since declines as is increased within range. A decline also increased, suggesting entry well does exhibit characteristics simple diffusion process. significance these vivo observations briefly discussed relation widely accepted assumptions concerning permeability muscle.
