摘要: Purpose Organs and structures develop symmetrically, but various degrees of asymmetry can also because the effects function disease. The human face is often asymmetrical, faces be perceived as beautiful even if they are asymmetrical. purpose present study was to investigate horizontal angular face. Materials Methods angle between line through bilateral exocanthions though mouth corners measured on standardized frontal facial photographs 1,282 volunteers (18 29 years age; 761 males, 521 females). Results magnitude 0.2 ± 1.4 0.3 1.3 (mean SD) in males females, respectively. Faces were classified into 3 types relative parallel type. incidence type, right-dominant type (≥1 degree), left-dominant (≤1 degree) 54.7%, 28.6%, 16.7%, observed more frequently than both genders. Conclusion Our findings concur with those previous studies suggest that measurement angulations used assess asymmetry.
