Integrating sustainability indicators and Lean Manufacturing to assess manufacturing processes: Application case studies in Brazilian industry

摘要: Abstract Operation management models have been developed according to changes in society's demands, such as better working conditions, clean production, recyclable and reusable products, improving social conditions. Thus, new challenges developing sustainable models, particularly for manufacturing processes, emerged. Lean Manufacturing Value Stream Mapping (VSM) widely used develop processes without wastes the production flow. However, current indicators of VSM tool not identified economic, environmental factors. This work aims propose a conceptual method integrate group sustainability into assess processes. The development was performed through analysis assessment period 2009–2014. applied three case studies, results demonstrated that proposed different levels thus enabled improved scenarios.
