A Systematic Literature Review for Better Understanding of Lean Driven Sustainability

摘要: Global trends and factors, such as the increased level of globalization, climate change, resource scarcity, awareness social environmental responsibilities, well fiercer competition lower profit margins in all industries, force organizations to act retain, regain, or sustain their competitive advantages for long-term survival. These factors are historically known bring about innovations that drive evolution industries. Sustainability is considered be an innovation achieve fiscally sound, environmentally conscious, socially progressive supply chains. This study reviewed 477 past articles published five major databases from 1990 2018. The purpose was assess current state-of-the art subject lean-driven sustainability. Based on exhaustive descriptive contextual analysis, synergies, divergences, extent two-way permeability lean sustainability concepts perspective intra- inter-organizational operations were identified along with future research opportunities. Fundamental strengths weaknesses both concepts, existing strong synergies untapped potential, key contributors, potential-use cases tools derive sustainable solutions highlighted this review.
