摘要: The water resources sector of Bangladesh relies on the Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) to assess possible positive and negative impacts e nvironmental social components project affected areas. motivation this research was identify key environmental components, gaps lapses current EIA practices in Bangladesh. Under motivation, st udy has determined effectiveness a resourc es (Gorai River Restoration Project) for sustai nable implication development management projects Component-based checklist method review framework were used study draw conclusions make decisions important secti ons studied EIA. Review aspects nd analysis disclos ed that is well performed have considered sufficient information decision maki ng, but residual unavoidable n ot identified all environment compon ents construction operation phase. Inclu sion under different intervention scenarios, consideration alternative flow regimes, suggestions interventions ensuring public participation strengths studies issues can be as guidelines future EIAs similar geo-environmental contexts. developed implemented process ensure longterm sustainability projects.
