摘要: Agkicetin-C, a potent glycoprotein Ib antagonist from the venom of Chinese pit viper, Deinagkistrodon acutus, has been purified and characterized. It is disulfide-linked heterodimer containing subunits 132 123 amino acid residues. Herein, complete sequences were resolved by cloning nucleotide sequencing cDNAs. The its are homologous to those other snake proteins C-type (Ca 2+ -dependent) lectin superfamily. A three-dimensional model agkicetin-C was constructed based on crystal structure habu coagulation factor IX/X-binding protein. By careful alignment all related available comparing 3D-model with structures different functions, some variable residues identified, which possibly responsible for specificity this distinct subtype lectin-like proteins.
