摘要: The loss of fragile X mental retardation (FMR1) gene function causes syndrome (FXS), a common syndrome. Anxiety and abnormal social behaviors are prominent features FXS in humans. To better understand the role FMR1 these behaviors, we analyzed anxiety-related Fmr1 knockout (KO) mice. In mirrored chamber test, KO mice showed greater aversion to central than wild-type (WT) littermates, suggesting increased anxiety-like responses reflected images exhibited interactions tube test dominance, winning fewer matches WT littermates. partition had normal levels interest recognition. However, during direct interaction tests, significant increases sniffing behaviors. We further tested influence environmental familiarity on unfamiliar partners. partitioned cages, did not differ from investigation familiar less newly introduced partner first 5 min more last 20-min consistent with initial anxiety followed by enhanced investigation. Our findings indicate that results altered behavior demonstrate mouse is relevant animal model for seen FXS.
