摘要: Abstract Analyses of the inelastic α + 12 C scattering at medium energies have indicated that strength Hoyle state (the isoscalar 0 2 excitation 7.65 MeV in C) seems to exhaust only 7–9% monopole energy weighted sum rule (EWSR), compared about 15% EWSR extracted from electron data. The full transition predicted by realistic microscopic -cluster models can be shown up 22% EWSR. To explore missing scattering, we performed a fully folding model analysis E lab = 104 – 240 using 3- resonating group wave function obtained Kamimura, and complex density-dependent M3Y interaction newly parametrized based on Brueckner–Hartree–Fock results for nuclear matter. Our has consistently is not associated with uncertainties but most likely due short lifetime weakly bound structure this which significantly enhances absorption exit ∗ ( ) channel.
