摘要: Objective Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is an important sexually-transmitted worldwide. Persistent infections with different high-risk HPV genotypes may cause cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cancer. Single nucleotide polymorphisms of glutathione S-transferase omega (GSTO) 1 2 play role in cancer progression. To evaluate GSTO gene polymorphism influence on women’s susceptibility to low-risk or also risk development. Material methods We examined 50 patients cancer, 43 who were positive for HPV, healthy individuals as negative controls. used polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length determine GSTO1 A140D GSTO2 N142D variants study participants. Results found a significant association between the 6, 16, 18, 16/18 Iranian women. noted difference 140AD/142NN combination genotype group There no differences allele frequencies patient (i.e., HPV-positive) groups Conclusion The 140AD genotype, 140D allele, seem confer protective property However, not associated It would appear that SNPs likely level HPV-related
