摘要: Abstract Physical fitness is as important to aging adults with ID in the general population, but date, physical levels of this group are unknown. Comfortable walking speed, muscle strength (grip strength), endurance (30 s Chair stand) and cardiorespiratory (10 m incremental shuttle test) were tested a sample 1050 older ID, results compared reference values from population. Across all age ranges, approximately two-third entire study population scored ‘below average’ or ‘impaired’. Even youngest groups (50–59 50–54 years) achieve similar worse than 20–30 years Low demonstrate that prone unnecessary premature loss functioning health problems, maintaining should have priority practice policy.
