摘要: Abstract We have combined Auger electron diffraction (AED), low-energy (LEED) and high-energy (RHEED) to examine the structure of Fe x Ni 1− alloys when content approaches 65%. At this concentration, ‘invar effect’ takes place, so magnetization falls zero, thermal expansion coefficient is very small. The alloys, grown as metastable thin films by molecular-beam epitaxy on Cu(100) substrates, were studied a function stoichiometry. In contrast related bulk alloy compounds, we observe collapse fcc-to-bcc structural transition in Fe-rich films. Furthermore, local atomic around has been simultaneously determined angular intensity distributions L 3 VV (703 eV) (848 eV) electrons measured polar azimuthal angles. For deposited at room temperature, confirmed pseudomorphic growth morphology uniformity alloys.
