摘要: Abstract Introduction of the transposon Tn5 to serve as a marker allows electron microscope heteroduplex mapping naphthalene oxidation genes on ~83-kb NAH7 and related ~85-kb SAL1 plasmids. The microscope-mapped gene positions plasmid are in close agreement with those mapped previously by restriction digestion. can be considered mutant which fails direct conversion salicylate because mutational block but retains intact coding sequences for oxidation. Analysis molecules formed between NAH7::Tn5 EcoRI fragments known NAH7/SAL1 homology strongly suggest that DNA is completely homologous except ~2.5-kb segment constituting most nahA replaced ~4.6-kb nonhomologous DNA.
